Cancellations

Cancellations with a refund must be canceled 30 days prior to the reservation date. No refunds for cancellations within 30 days of the reservation date.

Fair Season

Great Jones County Fair week is not only our busiest time of year at the motel, but for all of Monticello.

We have a wait list each year that starts in October for the following year.

During Fair week we have a 4-night minimum reservation.

Payment must be received at time of reservation.

Fair week reservations are non-refundable

Parties

No unauthorized parties or gatherings. All guests must be listed on the reservation ahead of check-in. All vehicles must be registered upon check-in. Starting June, 1st 2025 — You can book The Monticello Motel for small gatherings and events with our full property reservations.

All Full-Property Packages have a 3-night minimum stay

Pets

We have one dog friendly standard motel room on site. Motel Room 5 can accommodate your furry companion for a fee of $50. We also charge a minimum $300 incidental fee for any unexpected incidents beyond standard cleaning. Any unregistered pets found will be charged appropriately to your reservation. For the safety of our staff and well being of your pet, all pets must be secure in a carrier or kennel during room cleanings. NO Smoking

We DO NOT allow smoking in the rooms. We DO charge an additional minimum $300 incidental fee for deep cleaning and damages if the presence of smoke is found in the room after you depart.

We have a designated OUTSIDE smoking area and provide a smokers post for all cigarette butts. PLEASE DO NOT LITTER.
